Royalties and what the artist keeps

The artist's share is set per collection, and printed on the release

A collection carries its own royalty, set when it is created and forwarded to the artist when the work is resold. It is shown on the release page beside the artist's name — the line that reads a percentage "to the artist on secondary" — so the figure you are looking at is the one that applies to that work rather than a number copied into documentation.

A sale's own terms are on the sale

The platform's fee on a primary sale is not a constant either: it is part of that sale's terms, written when the sale is deployed and shown in the total before you sign. `Fees: where the numbers are` explains why that page names no percentages, and the same reason applies here — a percentage on a help page goes stale the first time a sale carries different terms.

Nothing here is enforced by this page

Both figures live in contracts: the royalty in the collection, the fees in the sale. The explorer link on the Owner block is where they can be read independently of anything the platform says about them.

For artists, before you submit

• The royalty is a property of the collection, so it is fixed for the works minted under it.
• The platform's fee on a sale is set out in the sale's terms, and it is the same for every buyer of that sale.
